Requirements

Liability Release/Documents
All required documents must be thoroughly read, signed, dated, and complete prior to the beginning of this course. Upon signing up you will have the chance to review all required documents and agree to the terms stated. Also,  all required documents will be sent to you electronically for your review and signature.

Age
16 years or older

Health
Must be in good health or doctor approval letter

Equipment
Wetsuit (Recommended-2 mil, two piece-farmer johns/beaver tail/hood)

Mask with basic strap (Recommended-Low profile freedive mask, silicone skirt, access to nose)

Snorkel (Recommended-Basic j snorkel)

Fins (Recommended-Freedive fins with soft blades and fit snug with 1-3 mil neoprene sock)

Weight belt (Recommended-Rubber belt without holes and pin but with metal buckle release)

Weights (Recommended-One and two lb. increments)

Timing device  (Recommended-Basic waterproof watch with chrono function or Aeris F10 for those of you looking for a dedicated freedive watch)

Note:Want to sign up but don't have all of your gear? I do have some gear that I will rent to you. Contact me and let me know what you do not have and the size that you wear relating to equipment needed and I will get back with you.

Duration

Days

This course usually takes place over a three day period (usually on Friday evenings, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning depending on circumstances. Due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now able to offer the Friday evening portion (academics) online via Google Meet.

The other option is a two day course which is usually only during the months of June-July, December, and March. Please click on the "click here to sign up" at the top of this page to check available courses.

(3 Day Courses) Time Requirements

Day 1-Academic work (4 hr) (ONLINE ONLY)

Day 2-Confined water training (3.5 hr) + 1 hour of homework (reading and practice test) (IN PERSON)

Day 3-Open water depth training (4 hr) + 30 min for written assessment. (IN PERSON)

(2 Day Courses) Time Requirements

Day 1-Academic work (4 hr) and confined water training (3 hr) + 1 hour of homework (reading and practice test) (ONLINE ONLY/IN PERSON)

Day 2-Open water depth training (3 hr)+ 30 min for written assessment (IN PERSON)

price

The regular price for this course is $400.00* (price includes water transportation fee).

Private courses are typically 550.00* per person (price includes water transportation fee/rental).

All deposit fees must paid in full upon signing up and tuition fees 1 week prior to the beginning of all courses. (cancellation fees apply).

Communication

I will contact students via e-mail  two weeks prior to the start date to provide location information and also to make sure that they have read, understood, and signed all required documents. Information relating to location will be shared on a live document through Google Docs so please continue to check your e-mail notifications regarding  course related documents.

Free Composure Freediving Hat

After completion of this course and after one review on Facebook, TripAdvisor, and Google Maps students will receive a free hat.

Video

(Upon request-50.00 per person) GoPro recording of student diving technique during the confined and open water session. Recordings include editing of video and delivery of edited video via YouTube private link for further review.

Photography

(Upon request-Prices vary by photographer) Want that great shot while your hitting 20 m? How about getting a few pictures taken while you perform your best surface entry? Contact me if you want your pictures taken during one of our courses.

Retake

Should you not pass this course, I can work with you on your spare time to help improve your skills/technique and you can retake this course for free.

I have gear that you can rent if you do not have any. Please contact me if you need gear so that we can discuss and set up payment.
